Casa Batllo in Barcelona
Casa Batllo is a building in Barcelona, Spain, that the famous architect Antonio Gaudi was commissioned to refurbish by the owner, Josep Batllo.
It seems that the goal of Ballto was to avoid straight lines completely. It is also said that the home is meant to represent Saint George battling a dragon.
Much of the façade is decorated with a mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles (trencadís) that starts in shades of golden orange moving into greenish blues, which looks just like the scales of a dragon. Balconies at the lower floors have bone-like pillars, those on the upper floors look like pieces of skulls. These features lead to the local name for the building, Casa dels ossos (House of Bones). The roof is arched and is likened to the back of a dragon. The colorful scaled roof recalls a reptile skin. The small turret with a cross symbolizes the sword of St. George stuck into the dragon. The bones and skulls on the facade represent all the dragon's victims.
The inside of the building is just as strange and unique, with custom wooden doors, stained glass windows, colorful tiles and carved out fireplace.

THE FISH HOUSE
Guz Architects have created a tropical bungalow perfect for it’s location in Singapore called The Fish House. The modern home is designed to encourage natural ventilation, to do this the team of architects set out to create large open spaces, and glass walls that open up into functional outdoor activity areas.
Guz explained that their main goal was to create a home with seamless integration of the surrounding nature. This was accomplished through the pond-like pool and by creating great views of the water and vegetation.

Original Architecture, Chicken Point Cabin - Amazing Design
Original Architecture, Chicken Point Cabin - Amazing Design
Chicken Point Cabin – surprisingly harmonious modern hotel with original architecture and iconic elements, combining function and aesthetics of the original. The authors of the “forest” of the project was already known to us American architectural studio Olson Kundig Architects.Unusual cozy house located in a scenic area of Northern Idaho. According to the architects, the main idea of the construction of Chicken Point Cabin was the creation of a cozy romantic forest refuge with large panoramic “lined with” a window opening out into the surrounding house magnificent nature.
A large window offers two tiers of windows, all the main room hotel, combining it with the forest, located near the lake and the mountain tops, trailing the horizon line. Materials of construction – concrete blocks and floors, metal, wood and plywood – have been left in its natural, almost raw state. This solution reduces the cost of building and formed a natural “forest” environment, which over time will become even more charisma, a little old and Get a gossamer …
Technology, through which opens a “window into the horizon, is formed from a visually expressive system of pulleys, the culmination of which is the union of interior and picturesque scenery.
In addition to the elements of an unusual system of opening the massive windows in the house there are several design objects that attract attention and create a unique creative environment that does not “enter into a dispute with the surrounding nature of the house.
Private apartments are located on the second level, also provide an opportunity to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets over the beautiful mountain lake, not even getting out of bed.
