Über Luxurious Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Puts Limos to Shame

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Seen On www.coolpicturegallery.us

It may look like an ordinary van that transports a boatload of people, but this Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is much more than that. Called the Brilliant Van, the specially equipped fleet of Sprinter limo vans belongs to a company called Brilliant Transportation.

As you can see in the photo gallery, the Brilliant vans are fitted with four independent chairs and a rear seat bench covered in premium leather. The vans come complete with a premium eight-speaker audio system, two 32-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite-based Direct TV and wireless headphones, as well as 3G Wi-Fi capability, color printers and a hands-free conference call system.

"We're introducing a new mode of travel we call Private Motoring¨ that often replaces air and rail transport,” said Richard Fertig, Brilliant's Founder and President. "Our versatile Sprinter vans appeal to corporate management, entertainers and well-to-do families who want to reclaim that dead in-transit time and who appreciate the size, height and overall comfort of a large van,” he added.

Stretch it Real Good: 2011 Chrysler 300 gets into the Limo Business

Chrysler Seen On www.coolpicturegallery.us
Even though Chrysler’s new 300 is being marketed as a more elegant and mature proposal than its predecessor, that doesn’t mean it won’t garner the same amount of attention from extreme tuners, rappers, professional athletes and of course, your occasional limo builder, as the previous model did.

Only a few months after it hit U.S. showrooms, and we have if not the first, at least one of the first stretch limousine transformation of the 2011 Chrysler 300.

It is based on the 3.6-liter V6 model and is virtually brand new having clocked only 71 miles.

As the seller notes on eBay, it comes with “all the bells and whistles”, which translates to a 140-inch stretch, more LEDs than you can possibly count, laser lights and the compulsory disco floor.

If you’re interested, it could be yours for $78,500 (Buy it Now price).

It Came From eBay Hell: 1993 Jaguar XJ6 “Airport Limousine”

Jaguar XJ Seen On www.coolpicturegallery.us
In the glory days of air travel – when you could still smoke and fly without the fear of being groped and fondled by security personnel wearing latex gloves– some passengers were lucky enough to commute from the terminal to their hotel in the back of an airport limousine.

These stretched cars, with their multiple rows of seats and doors, were essentially the primitive precursor to the modern day shuttle bus.

So here we have 3.2 L Jaguar XJ6 airport limousine (really, what else would you call it?) with two extra doors and a row of three seat clumsily inserted in the middle that we found for sale on eBay UK.

The seller is eager to point out that this car, “DRIVES WELL DOSE ALL AS IT SHOULD BODY IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS YEAR”, though offers precious little other information.

From the odd-looking roof racks, I’d hazard a guess and say this was formerly used by a funeral home to ferry loved ones back and forth. On the plus side, it comes with a cassette player, power steering, central locking and electric windows.

On the downside it’s an extensively modified Jaguar from the early ‘90s based on twenty-year-old mechanicals. Buyers beware, indeed. I suppose its 1,500 GBP (about US$2,400) would still appeal to some if not others.

It Came From eBay Hell: Volkswagen Beetle Limousine...with a Soft Top!

Volkswagen Beetle Limousine Cabriolet Seen On www.coolpicturegallery.us
Stretched Volkswagen Beetles are as commonplace on eBay as Pontiac Fiero-based fake Ferraris and Porsche 356 Speedster replicas. So what makes this example so special? Well for one it’s a convertible, and a real one at that, with a canvas roof that’s sure to sag and then collapse from the weight of the water on it when it rains.

Volkswagen Beetle Limousine Cabriolet Seen On www.coolpicturegallery.usIt also has a bar made out of the same polished wood as the cheapest of community centre pianos and burgundy leather L-shaped bench seat. It also has burgundy and silver paintwork and a wide body kit, which is sure to make you stand out from the crowd.

The eBay seller is also keen to point out that this is a, “ONE OF A KIND,” car, but then stating in very next sentence that it’s, “ONE OF ONLY 3 IN THE WORLD”. So, um, not one of a kind then. It was also, “BUILT PROFESSIONALLY”, which the pedant in me would like to point out is different from being, “PROFESSIONALLY BUILT”.

And with a Buy It Now price of just US$39,999, you’re only paying like ten times the price you’d expect to pay for an ordinary Beetle of the same Vintage. Then again, nobody said that uniqueness comes cheap...
